Out with the old, in with the new.
The new year is full of new beginnings, even in home decor. While there are many different opinions when it comes to Interior Design, here are some ideas that professional Interior Designers agree on.
Monochromatic, Colorful Kitchens

Something about a bright pop of color seems daunting, yet can become a beautiful and striking statement piece if done right. The Homme Boys just created a brand new monochromatic, colorful kitchen in anticipation of the new trend. They gave some tips for creating such a kitchen: “We think the monochromatic look is done best when you fully immerse the room in the chosen color but change things up with a complimentary neutral and varying textures.”
Stained Glass Windows In Bathrooms

I love bright light, something about it brings me so much joy. But it's hard to fill bathrooms with natural light along with adequate privacy. I'm super excited for stained glass windows to become used more, because they give the perfect balance of privacy and natrual light. It's also a perfect opportunity to keep your home's old charm and history alive.

With public figures such as John Stamos and Nina Dobrev getting modern Spanish-style homes in 2022, it's very likely that the trend will continue in 2023. There is a deeply sophisticated look to Spanish-style homes, with their thoughtful tilework, exposed beams and round archways.
Moody Floral Wallpaper

Floral wallpapers have been trending for a while now, but lately I've seen a huge increase in a moody, European vibe for wallpapers. It's most common in bathrooms, giving an elegant and spa-like feel as you get ready for the day. Bonus points if you have gold accents or vintage paintings.
Wood and Natural Elements

As Kristina Phillips, Founder of Kristina Phillips Interior Design, says, "The use of natural materials will continue to reign, as sustainability and eco awareness is only becoming more important. However, we are going to see less of the softer, washed-out woods, but rather more textured, darker species."
